Postgraduate Entry Requirements:

1. Academic Qualifications: International students applying for postgraduate programs, such as master's or doctoral degrees, should have completed a relevant undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent is typically required, but requirements may vary by program.

2. English Language Proficiency: Similar to undergraduate requirements, international students must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following tests:

   • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5 with no individual band score below 6.0.
   • TOEFL: A minimum score of 80 on the internet-based test (iBT) or 550 on the paper-based test (PBT).
   • PTE :  An minimum overall score of 53 is required.
   • DET : An minimum overall score of 120 is required.

3. Transcripts and Credential Evaluation: Official transcripts from all previously attended institutions, along with an English translation if needed, should be submitted. It is important to check with the department for any additional requirements or specific guidelines regarding transcripts.

4. Letters of Recommendation and Statement of Purpose: Most postgraduate programs at UAB require letters of recommendation from academic or professional references. Additionally, a statement of purpose outlining the student's academic and career goals may be required.
