Steps to Apply for a Dependent Visa (Subsequent Entrant):

1. Gather Required Documents

- Relationship evidence: Marriage certificate (for spouse), birth certificates (for children), relationship proof (for de facto partners)
- Passport copies of dependents
- Your student visa details
- Proof of funds to show you can financially support your dependents (as per Australian government, living cost for each dependent is AUD 7,362/year for spouse and AUD 3,152/year for each child)
- Health insurance for dependents (Overseas Student Health Cover – OSHC)
- Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for your course
- Health and character certificates for dependents

2. Apply Online

- Apply through the Australian Immigration ImmiAccount portal.
- Choose the Student visa (subclass 500) – Subsequent Entrant option.

3. Pay the Visa Fees

(Effective from 1st July 2025):
- Main student: AUD 2,000 (already paid with your visa)
- Spouse/Partner: AUD 1,225
- Each dependent child: AUD 400

4. Submit Biometrics & Health Checks

- Your dependents may be required to undergo health examinations and provide biometrics.

5. Wait for Processing

- Processing times can vary, but typically take several weeks to a few months.
