Are short-term language courses accepted for Ireland student visa?

For Ireland, short-term language courses (less than 3 months) do not qualify for a standard student visa (Stamp 2). Instead:

- If your language course in Ireland is less than 90 days (3 months), you should apply for a short stay 'C' visa (visit visa), not a student visa.
- If your course is longer than 3 months, you must apply for a long stay 'D' visa (student visa). Your course must be listed on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP) to qualify for a student visa.

Key points:
- Short-term language courses (<3 months): Apply for a Short Stay 'C' visa (not a student visa).
- Long-term courses (>3 months): Apply for a Student Visa (Long Stay 'D' visa); course must be on the ILEP.
- Stamp 2 permission (allows you to work part-time) is only granted for long-term, ILEP-listed courses.
