Which intakes are available for Finnish universities?

Finnish universities typically offer two main intakes for international students:

1. Autumn Intake (September)

- Primary intake for most programs.
- Application Period: Usually opens in December or January and closes in January or February for studies starting in September.
- Most bachelor’s and master’s degree programs are available during this intake.
- Highly recommended for international students due to greater course and scholarship availability.

2. Spring Intake (January)

- Limited intake; fewer programs offered compared to autumn.
- Application Period: Usually opens in September and closes in September or October for studies starting in January.
- Not all universities or programs offer spring intake, especially at the bachelor’s level.
