How many hours can I work in Ireland as a student?


As an international student in Ireland, you are allowed to work part-time while studying. Here are the current guidelines:

During Term Time:
- You can work up to 20 hours per week.

During Holidays (Designated holiday periods):
- You can work up to 40 hours per week (full-time).

Important Notes:
- To be eligible to work, your course must be included on the Interim List of Eligible Programmes (ILEP).
- You must be enrolled in a full-time course of at least one year’s duration.
- You must have a valid Stamp 2 student immigration permission.
