In New Zealand, the duration of the post-study work visa depends on your qualification and where you studied. Here are the general guidelines:

1. For Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher:
- You can get a Post-Study Work Visa for up to 3 years.

2. For Level 7 Graduate Diploma or Level 4-6 Diploma:
- You can get a Post-Study Work Visa for up to 1 year (in most cases).
- If you studied in an area of absolute skills shortage and completed your qualification outside Auckland, you may be eligible for up to 2 years.

Important Points:
- You must have studied a qualification that is on the list of eligible qualifications for post-study work rights.
- The qualification must have been studied at an approved New Zealand education provider.
- You must apply for the Post-Study Work Visa within 3 months of your student visa expiring (or 6 months if you were completing a doctoral degree).

- The Post-Study Work Visa allows you to work for almost any employer and in almost any job in New Zealand.
