Australia is a very popular destination for Indian students, and many students successfully obtain an Australian student visa each year. The visa process is straightforward if you meet all the requirements and provide accurate documentation. Here’s what you need to know:

1. Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE):
You must show that you genuinely intend to stay in Australia temporarily for the purpose of study.

2. Admission Offer:
You need a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from an Australian university or college.

3. Financial Requirements:
You must prove you have enough funds to cover tuition fees, living expenses (AUD 29,710 per year as per 2025 guidelines), travel, and any dependents. This can be shown through bank statements, loan letters, or scholarships.

4. English Language Proficiency:
You should provide evidence of English language skills — typically through IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores, unless you are exempt.

5. Health & Character:
You’ll need to undergo a health examination and provide a police clearance certificate.

6. Visa Application Fee:
From 1st July 2025, the main student applicant must pay AUD 2,000, spouse/partner AUD 1,225, and each dependent child AUD 400.
