How much bank balance is required for Ireland visa?


For an Ireland student visa, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your studies. As per the latest guidelines (2024), the financial requirements are as follows:

Minimum Funds Required:
- €10,000 per year for living expenses (in addition to your first year’s tuition fees).

What you need to show:
- Proof that you or your sponsor have immediate access to at least €10,000 for each year of study.
- Evidence of payment (or ability to pay) your tuition fees for the first year.
- If your course is longer than one year, you must show that you have access to €10,000 for each subsequent year (though this is mainly checked for the first year during visa application).

How to Show Proof:
- Recent bank statements (covering the last 6 months)
- Education loan sanction letter (if applicable)
- Proof of scholarship (if any)
- Sponsorship letter (if your sponsor is supporting you)

Important:
- The funds should be in your name or your immediate family member’s name (parents or legal guardians).
- The bank statements must be authentic, on the bank’s letterhead, stamped, and signed.
