Will the UK Graduate Route still available January/February intake 2026?

As of now, the UK Graduate Route (commonly known as the post-study work visa) is still available for international students, including those planning to start their studies in the January/February 2026 intake.

Here’s what you need to know:
- The Graduate Route allows international students who have completed an eligible degree at a UK higher education provider to stay in the UK for 2 years (3 years for PhD graduates) to work or look for work.
- Any changes to the Graduate Route would be officially announced by the UK government and communicated well in advance.
- Currently, there is no official notification from the UK government about discontinuing or restricting the Graduate Route for future intakes, including 2026.
- Students starting their course in January/February 2026—provided their institution maintains its sponsorship status and they complete an eligible qualification—should be eligible to apply for the Graduate Route after graduation, as per the rules at the time of application.

Pollster Education continually monitors updates and will guide you through any changes in policy. We recommend:
