How much GTE fund required for Australia?

For Australia, the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement is not only about funds, but financial evidence is a key part of your student visa application. As per the latest guidelines for 2025, you must show access to sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees, travel, and living expenses for yourself (and any accompanying family members) for at least the first 12 months of your stay.

Living Expenses (as per Australian Government 2025)
- Student: AUD 29,710 per year
- Spouse/partner: AUD 10,394 per year
- Per child: AUD 4,449 per year

Funds you need to show:
- Tuition fees for the first 12 months (as per your offer letter)
- Living expenses (AUD 29,710 for the student, plus additional for family if applicable)
- Travel cost: AUD 2,000 (approximate; may vary depending on your home country)

Example:
If you are applying alone, you must show evidence of at least:
- Tuition fees (1 year) + AUD 29,710 (living) + AUD 2,000 (travel)

If your spouse and one child are accompanying you, add:
- AUD 10,394 (spouse) + AUD 4,449 (child)

Total funds required = Tuition fees (1 year) + AUD 29,710 + AUD 10,394 + AUD 4,449 + AUD 2,000

Acceptable financial evidence:
- Bank statements (savings)
- Loan sanction letters
- Scholarship letters (if any)
