How long is Ireland student visa valid?

The validity of an Ireland student visa (generally called a Stamp 2 visa) depends on the duration of your course:

- For degree-level programs (undergraduate or postgraduate):
- The student visa is typically valid for the duration of your course, up to a maximum of 7 years for degree-level study.
- For non-degree or English language courses:
- The visa is usually granted for the length of the course, with a maximum limit of 2 years for English language studies.

Important Points:
- You must be enrolled in a full-time course listed on the ILEP (Interim List of Eligible Programmes).
- You may be granted visa extensions each year, subject to maintaining your student status and fulfilling attendance/academic requirements.
- After completing your degree, you may be eligible for the Third Level Graduate Scheme, which allows you to stay in Ireland for up to 2 years to seek employment (12 months for ordinary degree, 24 months for honours degree or higher).
