What is minimum percentage required for Germany masters?

For admission to a Master’s program in Germany, most universities generally require a minimum of 60%–70% in your undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree. However, the exact percentage requirement can vary depending on the university, course, and specialization.

Here are some general guidelines:

- Public Universities: Many top public universities may require at least 70% (or a CGPA of 7.0/10 or 2.5/4.0) in your Bachelor’s.
- Private Universities: These may be slightly more flexible and may accept students with 55%–60%, depending on your profile and other strengths (such as work experience, SOP, etc.).
- TU9 Universities (top technical universities like TU Munich, RWTH Aachen): These are highly competitive and usually expect 75% and above.
- Course-specific Requirements: Some courses, especially in fields like Engineering, Computer Science, or Management, may have higher requirements.

Other Important Points:
- Some universities also consider your academic backlog history and may require no more than 5 backlogs.
- A good score in English language proficiency tests (IELTS/TOEFL) is also required.
- For some courses, knowledge of the German language (at least A1/A2 level) may be beneficial.
