How much bank balance required for Ireland visa?

For an Ireland student visa, you must show evidence of sufficient funds to cover your living expenses and tuition fees while studying in Ireland.

As per the latest requirements (2024-2025):

1. Proof of Funds for Living Expenses

- You must show access to at least €10,000 per year for living costs (outside of tuition fees).
- If your course is longer than one year, you must show you have at least €10,000 for the first year of your studies.

2. Tuition Fees

- You must also show proof that you have paid your tuition fees in full or, at minimum, paid a deposit (usually required by the university to issue the final offer letter).

3. Source of Funds

- The funds must be in your (or your sponsor’s) bank account for at least six months before your visa application.
- Acceptable sources include savings accounts, education loans, or a combination of both.
- You may also use scholarship letters, if applicable.

4. Additional Points

- You will need to provide recent original bank statements, stamped and signed by the bank, clearly showing your name and account details.

Example Calculation:
If your tuition fee is €12,000, you should show:
- Proof of tuition fee payment or ability to pay (€12,000)
- PLUS at least €10,000 for living expenses

Total recommended bank balance:
- Around €22,000 (tuition fee + living expenses for one year)

If you have dependents, you will need to show additional funds.
