Program Overview

This master's program aims to produce graduates capable of leading mental health service provision internationally. Curriculum: The program is structured over three years of part-time study, comprising core and optional courses. In the first year, students undertake core courses such as 'Themes in Global Mental Health' and 'Mental Health Promotion across the Life-span'. The second year includes 'Mental Health and Disability: International Law and Policy' and 'Research Methods in Health & Wellbeing'. The final year is dedicated to a dissertation project, allowing students to explore a specific area of interest within global mental health.

Research Focus: The program emphasizes critical evaluation of cultural, social, and biological factors influencing mental health across different populations. Postgraduate Entry Requirements:

  • Applicants should have successfully completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with a minimum overall score of 60% or equivalent.
  • English language proficiency is required, and applicants must provide evidence of their English language skills through an approved language test.
    • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5 with no individual component below 6.
