1. Academic Qualifications: International students applying for postgraduate programs at SJSU are typically required to hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution. 2. English Language Proficiency: International students whose native language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting scores from recognized English language proficiency tests. The minimum required scores for English language proficiency are as follows:

• IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5 with no band score less than 6.
• TOEFL: A minimum score of 80 on the Internet-based test (iBT).
• PTE: A minimum score of 60 on the Pearson Test of English.
• Other English Language Tests: SJSU may also accept scores from other recognized English language tests, such as the Duolingo English Test (DET), Cambridge English Exams, or the International Baccalaureate (IB) English A1 or A2.
