Program Overview

The BEng Civil Engineering program at the University of Glasgow focuses on integrating scientific inquiry, engineering design, and creative problem-solving. Additionally, the five-week 'Interact' project involves collaboration with architecture and quantity surveying students from partner institutions, simulating real-world interdisciplinary teamwork. Practicing engineers contribute to lectures, workshops, and case studies, providing insights into current industry practices and potential employment opportunities.

Global Perspective: Recognizing the global nature of civil engineering, the University offers opportunities for students to gain international experience. Students may apply to study abroad during their third year at accredited partner universities, immersing themselves in different cultural and academic environments. For those pursuing the MEng pathway, the fifth-year project can be undertaken at overseas institutions, further broadening their global outlook and professional network.
