Program Overview

This degree offers a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of philosophical topics from diverse traditions. Students engage with compulsory modules in their first year, including Reason and Argument, Great Works in Philosophy, and The Meaning of Life, which lay the foundation for philosophical skills and moral philosophy. In subsequent years, students can delve into specialized areas such as environmental and business ethics, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion. Curriculum: In the first year, students undertake three compulsory modules: Reason and Argument, Great Works in Philosophy, and The Meaning of Life. These modules introduce moral philosophy and essential philosophical skills. Students can also select three additional modules, with the option to study a language through the Institution-Wide Language Programme. In the second and third years, the curriculum offers flexibility to explore interests in depth, covering topics like environmental and business ethics, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion.
