Program Overview

Conestoga College is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of computer animation techniques and motion graphics principles. The program combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on training to prepare students for a career in the dynamic field of animation and visual effects.

Program :

  1. Animation Principles: Students learn the fundamental principles of animation, including timing, spacing, anticipation, and squash and stretch. They study traditional animation techniques and how to apply them to computer-generated animation.

  2. 3D Modeling and Texturing: This course focuses on 3D modeling techniques using industry-standard software. Students learn to create and manipulate 3D objects, apply textures and materials, and prepare models for animation.

  3. Character Animation: Students delve into the art of character animation, exploring techniques for bringing characters to life through movement and expression. They learn to create realistic and believable animations using rigs and animation controls.

  4. Visual Effects: This course introduces students to the world of visual effects, covering topics such as particle systems, dynamics, and simulations. Students learn how to create stunning visual effects that enhance the overall look and feel of animated scenes.

  5. Motion Graphics: Students explore the integration of motion and graphic design, creating dynamic and engaging visuals for broadcast, advertising, and digital media. They learn how to combine typography, graphics, and animation to convey messages effectively.

  6. Portfolio Development: Throughout the program, students work on building a professional portfolio that showcases their skills and creativity. They receive guidance and feedback to refine their work and create a strong portfolio for future employment opportunities.

  1. Postgraduate Diploma Programs:

    • Academic Requirement: Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with a minimum of 55% overall average.
    • English Language Proficiency: International students must demonstrate proficiency in English by meeting the minimum requirements in one of the following tests:
      • IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.5, with no individual band score below 6.0.
      • TOEFL: A minimum overall score of 88 on the Internet-based test (iBT), with a minimum score of 21 in each section.
      • PTE: A minimum overall score of 58, with no communicative skills score below 50.

It's important to note that meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission to Conestoga College, as program-specific requirements and competitive selection processes may apply.
