  1. Comprehensive Curriculum: The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers various aspects of public health, including epidemiology, biostatistics, health promotion, environmental health, health policy and management, global health, and research methods. Students gain a deep understanding of the determinants of health, disease prevention, health promotion strategies, and the social, economic, and environmental factors that influence public health outcomes.

  2. Dissertation Research: The program is structured around a research dissertation, allowing students to undertake an independent research project in a specific area of public health under the guidance of experienced faculty members. Students have the opportunity to contribute to the existing body of knowledge in public health, conduct original research, and address real-world public health challenges.

  3. Core Modules: In addition to the dissertation, students undertake core modules that provide a solid foundation in public health theory and practice. These modules cover topics such as public health ethics, social determinants of health, epidemiology, research methods, health promotion, health policy, and data analysis. The core modules ensure that students develop essential knowledge and skills to tackle public health issues effectively.

Students have opportunities for fieldwork, internships, or placements in public health organizations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, or research institutions. This practical component enables students to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and apply public health principles in diverse contexts.

  5. Interdisciplinary Approach: Public health challenges require an interdisciplinary approach. The program encourages collaboration and networking among students from diverse backgrounds, such as health sciences, social sciences, environmental sciences, and policy studies. Students work together on group projects, engage in discussions, and learn from each other's perspectives, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to public health problem-solving.

  6. Research and Analytical Skills: The program focuses on developing students' research and analytical skills, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation. Students learn to critically evaluate scientific literature, conduct systematic reviews, use statistical software for data analysis, and communicate research findings effectively. These skills are essential for evidence-based decision-making and research in public health.

  7. Global Health Perspective: The program acknowledges the global nature of public health challenges and provides students with a global health perspective. Students explore global health issues, learn about health disparities across different populations, understand the impact of globalization on health, and examine strategies for international health cooperation and collaboration.
