Postgraduate Programs:

• Academic Qualifications: International students applying for postgraduate programs at OSU must have completed a relevant bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a minimum grade average of 60% or above.
   
• English Language Proficiency: Similar to undergraduate programs, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by providing scores from one of the following tests:
  • IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.5
  • TOEFL: A minimum score of 100 on the internet-based test (iBT)
  • DET (Duolingo English Test): A minimum score of 130

1. International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) Scholarship: The ICSP scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded to outstanding international students who demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to promoting cultural exchange. Recipients receive a tuition waiver of up to 15 credits per term and a monthly stipend.

2. Provost's Scholarship for Excellence: This scholarship is available to incoming undergraduate international students who have exceptional academic records and demonstrate leadership potential. The scholarship covers a portion of non-resident tuition fees and is renewable for up to four years.

3. International Achievement Scholarship: The International Achievement Scholarship is open to incoming undergraduate international students with a strong academic background. The scholarship provides partial tuition waivers ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 per year.

4. INTO OSU Scholarships: INTO OSU, the university's international pathway program, offers a range of scholarships to support international students transitioning to OSU. These scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and can provide substantial tuition reductions.

5. College-Specific Scholarships: Various colleges and departments within Oregon State University offer scholarships specifically for international students. These scholarships may be based on academic achievement, field of study, or other criteria. Students are encouraged to explore the scholarship opportunities available within their respective colleges.

6. Global Diversity Scholarship: The Global Diversity Scholarship aims to increase access to education for underrepresented international students. The scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students and provides a partial tuition waiver.

7. Graduate Assistantships: OSU offers graduate assistantships to qualified international students pursuing a master's or doctoral degree. These assistantships provide financial support in the form of a stipend and often include a tuition waiver.

Graduates of the MATRN program at Oregon State University are well-prepared for a variety of careers in athletic training. They can work in various settings, including high schools, colleges and universities, professional sports teams, sports medicine clinics, rehabilitation centers, and performance training facilities.  

1. Certified Athletic Trainer: Graduates are eligible to take the Board of Certification (BOC) examination to become certified athletic trainers. Certified athletic trainers work with athletes to prevent, evaluate, and treat injuries, provide emergency care, and develop rehabilitation programs. They collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the overall well-being and safe participation of athletes.

2. Collegiate and High School Athletic Programs: Graduates can work as athletic trainers in college and high school athletic programs. They provide medical coverage during practices and games, assess and treat injuries, develop injury prevention programs, and assist with athlete rehabilitation.

3. Sports Medicine Clinics: Graduates can work in sports medicine clinics, providing comprehensive care to athletes and active individuals. They assess and diagnose injuries, design and implement treatment plans, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal recovery.

4. Rehabilitation Centers: Graduates can work in rehabilitation centers, assisting individuals recovering from injuries or surgeries. They provide therapeutic interventions, develop rehabilitation plans, and monitor progress to help patients regain strength, mobility, and function.

5. Professional Sports Teams: Graduates can pursue careers in professional sports organizations, working with athletes at the elite level. They provide immediate medical care, assist with injury prevention and management, and collaborate with team physicians and other healthcare professionals.

6. Industrial and Occupational Settings: Graduates can apply their athletic training skills in industrial and occupational settings. They can provide injury prevention education, ergonomic assessments, and on-site medical coverage to ensure the well-being and safety of workers.

7. Performance Training Facilities: Graduates can work in performance training facilities, working with athletes to enhance their performance through injury prevention programs, strength and conditioning training, and sports-specific rehabilitation.

8. Higher Education and Research: Graduates can pursue advanced degrees or academic careers in higher education institutions. They can teach athletic training courses, conduct research in the field, and contribute to the advancement of athletic training knowledge and practice.
