The M.P.H. (Master of Public Health) program at CSULA is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of public health principles, practices, and policies. Curriculum:

These competencies include epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health sciences, health policy and management, social and behavioral sciences, and communication and leadership skills. Students gain a solid foundation in these areas through coursework and practical experiences.

  3. Core Subjects: The curriculum consists of a combination of core courses, specialized electives, and a culminating experience, such as a thesis or capstone project. Core courses cover topics such as public health principles, research methods, biostatistics, epidemiology, health promotion, and policy development. Specialized electives allow students to focus on specific areas of interest within public health.

  4. Fieldwork and Practicum: The program emphasizes practical experience through fieldwork and practicum opportunities. Students have the chance to work in real-world settings, collaborating with public health organizations, government agencies, community health centers, or research institutions. Postgraduate Admissions:

  • A minimum undergraduate degree with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 60% or higher.
     
  • English Language Proficiency: International students must demonstrate English language proficiency by achieving satisfactory scores in one of the following standardized tests:
    • IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5 overall.
    • TOEFL: Minimum score of 80 on the internet-based test (iBT).
    • PTE: Minimum score of 55.
    • DET (Duolingo English Test): Minimum score of 105.
       
  • WES Evaluation Required.
