Program Overview

The Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Laws (BBusLLB) program at UTS offers students a dual degree that integrates comprehensive knowledge of business principles with legal expertise. It is designed for students interested in pursuing careers that require a strong understanding of both business management and legal frameworks.

Curriculum: The curriculum combines core business subjects with foundational legal studies. Business subjects cover areas such as accounting, economics, marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Legal studies include contracts, torts, criminal law, property law, and constitutional law. This integrated approach equips graduates with the skills to navigate complex legal issues within a business context.

Research Focus: UTS encourages a research-focused approach within the BBusLLB program. Students have opportunities to engage in legal research projects that explore contemporary legal issues, policy debates, and the intersection of law with business practices. This research enhances students' critical thinking, analytical skills, and ability to apply legal principles to real-world scenarios.

Industry Engagement: The program fosters strong connections with legal firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and industry bodies. Students benefit from internships, clerkships, and moot court competitions that provide practical experience and insights into legal practice. Guest lectures by legal professionals and networking events further enhance industry engagement opportunities.

Global Perspective: With a global outlook on business and legal practices, the program encourages students to consider international perspectives and comparative legal systems. International study opportunities, exchange programs, and collaborations with global universities broaden students' understanding of global legal frameworks and business practices.
