Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Application Fee: AUD $50

Academic Qualifications: Applicants for undergraduate programs typically require a minimum academic achievement of 70% or above in their previous academic qualifications.

English Language Proficiency:

• IELTS: Overall band score of 6.0 or 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
• TOEFL: Overall score of 93 with a minimum of 21 in each section.
• PTE (Pearson Test of English): Overall score of 64 with a minimum of 50 in each section.

Students must provide:

• academic marksheets & transcripts
• letters of recommendation
• a personal statement - SOP
• passport
• other supporting documents as required by the university.

UTS Global Ambassador Scholarship: This scholarship is available to both undergraduate and postgraduate international students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to promoting UTS overseas. The scholarship covers 50% of the recipient's tuition fees.

UTS Women in Engineering and IT Scholarship: This scholarship is available to female students who are enrolled in an engineering or IT course at UTS. The scholarship provides financial assistance to cover the recipient's tuition fees and living expenses.

UTS Business School Scholarship: This scholarship is available to both domestic and international students who are enrolled in a business course at UTS. The scholarship provides financial assistance to cover the recipient's tuition fees.

UTS Graduate School of Health Scholarship: This scholarship is available to both domestic and international students who are enrolled in a health course at UTS. The scholarship provides financial assistance to cover the recipient's tuition fees.

UTS Faculty of Law Equity Scholarship: This scholarship is available to both domestic and international students who are enrolled in a law course at UTS. The scholarship provides financial assistance to cover the recipient's tuition fees and living expenses.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Design in Interior Architecture and Bachelor of International Studies program from UTS acquire a diverse skill set that combines design expertise with a deep understanding of global cultures and international relations. 

Interior Architect/Designer: Interior architects/designers create functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces for residential, commercial, hospitality, or institutional settings. They conceptualize designs, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, manage projects, and ensure spaces meet regulatory requirements and user needs.

International Development Consultant: International development consultants work with NGOs, government agencies, or international organizations to implement development projects globally. They apply their understanding of cultural dynamics and spatial planning to improve living conditions, infrastructure, and sustainability practices in various regions.

Cultural Heritage Manager: Cultural heritage managers oversee the preservation, interpretation, and promotion of cultural sites and artifacts. They collaborate with communities, governments, and organizations to conserve cultural heritage, manage exhibitions, and develop strategies for sustainable tourism.

Urban Designer/Planner: Urban designers/planners focus on designing and shaping urban environments to improve functionality, sustainability, and quality of life. They analyze urban spaces, propose design solutions, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to urban development projects that integrate cultural sensitivity and international perspectives.

International Relations Specialist: International relations specialists analyze global political, economic, and social issues. They work for government agencies, think tanks, or multinational corporations, conducting research, developing policies, and facilitating diplomatic relations between countries.

Global Sustainability Consultant: Global sustainability consultants advise organizations on environmentally responsible practices and policies. They promote sustainable design solutions, conduct environmental assessments, and implement strategies that minimize ecological impact while meeting international standards.

Exhibition Designer/Curator: Exhibition designers and curators create engaging and educational experiences within museums, galleries, or cultural institutions. They design exhibition layouts, curate collections, develop interpretive materials, and collaborate with international partners to showcase cultural diversity and historical narratives.

International Project Manager: International project managers oversee complex projects with multinational teams. They coordinate project phases, manage budgets and timelines, navigate cultural differences, and ensure successful project delivery across international borders.

Diplomat/Foreign Service Officer: Diplomats or foreign service officers represent their country’s interests abroad, promote cultural exchange, and facilitate international cooperation. They negotiate agreements, analyze political developments, and engage in diplomatic activities to foster positive international relations.

Design Researcher/Academic: Design researchers or academics contribute to the advancement of design knowledge through research, teaching, and publishing. They explore innovative design methodologies, cultural impacts on design practice, and contribute to academic discourse within the field of interior architecture and international studies.
