Program Overview

The Honours Bachelor of Interaction Design program at Sheridan College focuses on equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to design user-friendly and innovative digital experiences. Through a multidisciplinary approach, students learn to integrate design thinking, human-computer interaction principles, and technical expertise to create compelling digital products and services. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including user research, information architecture, prototyping, usability testing, and interface design.   1. Design Thinking and User-Centered Design: The program emphasizes the importance of design thinking and user-centered design methodologies in creating digital solutions. Students learn to empathize with users, define design problems, ideate creative solutions, prototype designs, and gather user feedback to iteratively improve their designs.

Technical Skills and Tools: Students develop proficiency in a variety of technical skills and design tools essential for interaction design, including Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools such as Sketch and Adobe XD, programming languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and emerging technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).

  3. Collaborative Projects and Industry Engagement: The program fosters collaboration and industry engagement through real-world projects, internships, and guest lectures by industry professionals. Students work on interdisciplinary teams to tackle complex design challenges and gain insights into industry best practices and emerging trends.

Academic Requirements: International students applying for undergraduate programs at Sheridan College should have a minimum academic achievement of 65% or above in their previous educational qualifications.

English Language Proficiency:

  • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5, with no band score less than 6.
  • TOEFL: A minimum score of 88 on the internet-based test (iBT).
  • PTE Academic: A minimum score of 60.
  • DET Score: A minimum DET score of 115.
