Program Overview

The Honours Bachelor of Community Safety program at Sheridan College is designed to prepare students for careers in various aspects of public safety and security. Over the course of four years, students explore a comprehensive curriculum covering topics such as emergency management, risk assessment, law enforcement, cybersecurity, and community policing. The program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills development, providing students with hands-on experience in emergency response scenarios, crime prevention strategies, and threat assessment techniques. Academic Requirements: International students applying for undergraduate programs at Sheridan College should have a minimum academic achievement of 65% or above in their previous educational qualifications.

English Language Proficiency:

  • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5, with no band score less than 6.
  • TOEFL: A minimum score of 88 on the internet-based test (iBT).
  • PTE Academic: A minimum score of 60.
  • DET Score: A minimum DET score of 115.

  5. Corporate Security Manager: Graduates may pursue careers in corporate security, overseeing security operations for businesses, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, or retail establishments. They develop security policies, conduct risk assessments, and implement measures to protect assets, employees, and customers from security threats.

  6. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Administrator: Graduates with a background in community safety may work in emergency medical services organizations, managing operations, resources, and personnel involved in pre-hospital emergency care. They ensure compliance with regulations, optimize response times, and enhance patient care delivery in emergency situations.

  7. Cybersecurity Specialist: Graduates with an interest in cybersecurity may specialize in protecting digital assets, networks, and information systems from cyber threats. They work as cybersecurity analysts, penetration testers, or security consultants, assessing vulnerabilities, detecting intrusions, and implementing security measures to mitigate risks.

  8.
