Program Overview

The BA (Hons) Primary Education program at the University of Wolverhampton is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in primary school teaching.   5. Preparation for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): The BA (Hons) Primary Education program is designed to meet the requirements for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England and Wales. Upon successful completion of the program and any required assessments, graduates are eligible to apply for QTS and pursue a career as a primary school teacher.

Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications: Applicants should have successfully completed their secondary education with a minimum overall score of 60 to 65% or equivalent in their respective country's grading system.

English Language Proficiency:

  • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.0 with no individual component below 5.5.
  • TOEFL: A minimum score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in each component.
  • PTE: A minimum overall score of 59, with no individual score below 51.

Students must provide:

  • academic marksheets & transcripts
  • letters of recommendation
  • a personal statement - SOP
  • passport
  • other supporting documents as required by the university.
