Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications: International students applying for undergraduate programs are typically expected to have completed their secondary education with a minimum of 65% or above in their final exams.

English Language Proficiency: 

• IELTS: A minimum overall score of 7.0 with no individual component below 6.5.
• TOEFL: A minimum overall score of 72, with at least 17 in Listening, Reading,  Speaking, and Writing.
• PTE Academic: A minimum overall score of 59 with no individual score below 59.

Registered Nurse (Adult): Upon completion of the program and successful registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), graduates can work as registered nurses in adult nursing. Registered nurses provide direct care to adult patients in hospitals, clinics, community settings, and other healthcare environments. They assess patients' health needs, develop care plans, administer medications, perform treatments and procedures, and educate patients and their families about health promotion and disease prevention.

Medical-Surgical Nurse: Graduates may specialize as medical-surgical nurses, providing care to adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions. Medical-surgical nurses work in hospital units such as medical wards, surgical wards, intensive care units (ICUs), and emergency departments, caring for patients recovering from surgery, managing complex medical conditions, and stabilizing patients in critical conditions.

Community Nurse: Some graduates may choose to work as community nurses, providing healthcare services to adult patients in their homes or community settings. Community nurses assess patients' health needs, deliver nursing interventions, and coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources. They may specialize in areas such as district nursing, community mental health nursing, or community palliative care.

Practice Nurse: Graduates can work as practice nurses in general practitioner (GP) surgeries, providing primary healthcare services to adult patients. Practice nurses conduct health assessments, deliver preventive care, administer vaccinations, manage chronic conditions, and provide health education and promotion. They work collaboratively with GPs, nurse practitioners, and other members of the primary care team to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.

Specialist Nurse: Some graduates may pursue careers as specialist nurses, focusing on specific areas of adult health and nursing practice. Specialties may include oncology nursing, critical care nursing, cardiology nursing, respiratory nursing, or diabetes nursing. Specialist nurses undergo additional training and certification in their chosen specialty, becoming experts in the care and management of patients with specific health conditions.

Nurse Educator or Lecturer: Graduates with a passion for teaching and education may pursue careers as nurse educators or lecturers, teaching nursing students in academic settings such as universities, colleges, or vocational training institutes. Nurse educators develop curriculum materials, deliver lectures and workshops, supervise clinical placements, and mentor students to develop their clinical skills and professional competencies.

Clinical Nurse Specialist (with further study): With additional postgraduate education and training, graduates may become clinical nurse specialists, providing advanced nursing care, consultation, and leadership in specialized areas of adult health. Clinical nurse specialists may work in areas such as wound care, diabetes management, infection control, or pain management, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.

Nurse Manager or Leader: Graduates with leadership skills and management experience may pursue careers as nurse managers, supervisors, or leaders within healthcare organizations. Nurse managers oversee nursing departments, coordinate staffing and resource allocation, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and policies. They play a key role in promoting patient safety, staff development, and organizational effectiveness.

Research Nurse or Clinical Trials Coordinator: Some graduates may work as research nurses or clinical trials coordinators, assisting in the conduct of research studies and clinical trials related to adult health and nursing practice.
