Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications: Applicants should have successfully completed their secondary education with a minimum overall score of 55% or equivalent in their respective country's grading system.

English Language Proficiency:

• IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.0 or 6.5 with no individual component below 5.5.
• TOEFL: A minimum overall score of 72, with at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, and 17 in Writing.
• PTE Academic: A minimum overall score of 59 with no individual score below 59.
• Some programs may have specific subject prerequisites or additional requirements.

Students must provide:

• academic marksheets & transcripts
• letters of recommendation
• a personal statement - SOP
• passport
• other supporting documents as required by the university.

It is important to note that meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission, as the university considers factors such as availability of places and competition for the program. Additionally, some courses may have higher entry requirements or additional selection criteria, such as interviews or portfolio submissions.

Legal Practice: Graduates can pursue careers as solicitors or barristers, representing clients in legal matters such as civil litigation, criminal defense, family law, corporate law, or property law. They may work in law firms, barristers' chambers, or legal aid organizations, providing legal advice, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court.

Legal Advisor: Graduates may work as legal advisors or legal consultants for businesses, government agencies, non-profit organizations, or individuals. They provide legal guidance on contracts, compliance issues, regulatory matters, and risk management strategies. Legal advisors may specialize in areas such as employment law, intellectual property law, or corporate governance.

In-House Counsel: Some graduates choose to work as in-house counsel for corporations, companies, or organizations. In-house counsel provide legal advice and support to their employer on a wide range of legal issues including contracts, employment law, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property rights. They work closely with company executives, managers, and external legal advisors to ensure legal compliance and manage legal risks.

Public Sector Careers: Graduates may pursue careers in the public sector, working for government agencies, regulatory bodies, or public interest organizations. They may work as legal advisors, prosecutors, judges' clerks, or policy analysts, contributing to the development and implementation of laws, regulations, and public policies that affect society.

Legal Researcher or Academic: Some graduates choose to pursue careers in legal research or academia. They may work as legal researchers, conducting research on legal issues, writing scholarly articles, or contributing to legal publications. They may also pursue further education and become law professors, teaching and researching in law schools or universities.

Alternative Legal Careers: Graduates may explore alternative legal careers such as legal journalism, legal publishing, legal technology, or legal entrepreneurship. They may work as legal journalists, writing articles or reports on legal news and developments for newspapers, magazines, or online platforms. They may also start their own legal tech startups, developing innovative solutions to streamline legal processes or improve access to legal services.

Non-Legal Careers: While the LLB Law degree prepares students for legal careers, graduates also develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, analytical reasoning, communication, and problem-solving, which are valuable in a wide range of professions. Graduates may pursue careers in fields such as business management, human resources, consulting, finance, or public relations.

Further Education: Some graduates choose to pursue further education or professional qualifications after completing their LLB Law degree. They may enroll in postgraduate programs such as the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) to qualify as solicitors or barristers. They may also pursue master's degrees or PhDs in law, specializing in areas such as international law, human rights law, or environmental law.
