Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications: Applicants should have successfully completed their secondary education with a minimum overall score of 65% or equivalent in their respective country's grading system.

English language proficiency:

• IELTS: A minimum overall score of 7.0 with no individual component below 6.0.
• TOEFL: A minimum overall score of 87, with at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, and 19 in Writing.
• PTE Academic: A minimum overall score of 62 with no individual score below 59.
• Some programs may have specific subject prerequisites or additional requirements.

Students must provide:

• academic marksheets & transcripts
• letters of recommendation
• a personal statement - SOP
• passport
• other supporting documents as required by the university.

Solicitor: Many graduates choose to qualify as solicitors, undertaking further vocational training through the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) before completing a period of practical training known as a training contract. Solicitors provide legal advice, draft legal documents, represent clients in court, and handle a variety of legal matters such as property transactions, commercial contracts, and family law cases.

Barrister: Some graduates opt to pursue a career as a barrister, specializing in advocacy and representing clients in court. After completing the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), barristers typically undertake a period of pupillage under the supervision of an experienced barrister. Barristers advocate on behalf of clients in court proceedings, provide legal opinions, and offer specialist legal advice on complex legal issues.

Legal Advisor/Consultant: Graduates may work as legal advisors or consultants for businesses, government agencies, non-profit organizations, or private individuals. They provide legal guidance on various matters such as compliance, contractual disputes, employment law, intellectual property rights, and regulatory compliance. Legal advisors may also conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and negotiate on behalf of clients.

Legal Researcher: Some graduates pursue careers as legal researchers, working for law firms, academic institutions, think tanks, or government agencies. They conduct in-depth research on legal issues, analyze case law, statutes, and legal precedents, and provide legal opinions or recommendations to inform decision-making and policy development. Legal researchers may also contribute to academic publications, journals, or legal databases.

Corporate Lawyer: Graduates with an interest in business law may specialize as corporate lawyers, advising businesses on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and regulatory compliance. They draft commercial contracts, negotiate deals, and provide legal counsel on corporate transactions and business operations. Corporate lawyers may work in law firms, in-house legal departments, or as legal consultants.

Public Sector Lawyer: Graduates may pursue careers as public sector lawyers, working for government agencies, regulatory bodies, or public interest organizations. They provide legal advice on matters of public policy, administrative law, human rights, and constitutional law. Public sector lawyers may represent government entities in court proceedings, draft legislation, or provide legal support on regulatory matters.

Legal Academia: Some graduates choose to pursue an academic career in law, conducting research, teaching, and publishing scholarly work in legal journals or academic publications. They may work as lecturers, professors, or researchers in law schools, universities, or research institutes, contributing to the advancement of legal scholarship and education.
