Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications: Applicants should have successfully completed their secondary education with a minimum overall score of 60% or equivalent in their respective country's grading system.

English language proficiency:

• IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.0 with no individual component below 5.5.
• TOEFL: A minimum overall score of 76, with at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, and 18 in Writing.
• PTE Academic: A minimum overall score of 59 with no individual score below 5.9
• Some programs may have specific subject prerequisites or additional requirements.

Students must provide:

• academic marksheets & transcripts
• letters of recommendation
• a personal statement - SOP
• passport
• other supporting documents as required by the university.

It is important to note that meeting the minimum entry requirements does not guarantee admission, as the university considers factors such as availability of places and competition for the program. Additionally, some courses may have higher entry requirements or additional selection criteria, such as interviews or portfolio submissions.

Illustrator: Illustrators create visual representations to convey ideas, stories, or concepts across various media platforms, including print, digital, and multimedia. They may specialize in areas such as editorial illustration, children's book illustration, graphic novels, concept art, or character design, working freelance or for publishing houses, design studios, advertising agencies, or animation studios.

Graphic Designer: Graphic designers use visual elements, typography, and layout techniques to communicate messages and solve problems in branding, marketing, and visual communication. They may incorporate illustration skills into their design work, creating logos, posters, infographics, packaging, or digital media content for clients in industries such as advertising, marketing, publishing, or digital media.

Storyboard Artist: Storyboard artists create sequential visual narratives, illustrating key scenes and shots to plan and visualize the flow of storytelling in film, television, animation, or video games. They collaborate with directors, writers, and producers to develop visual concepts, pacing, and composition for projects ranging from commercials and films to animated series and video game cinematics.

Concept Artist: Concept artists develop visual concepts, designs, and artwork to inspire and guide the visual development of characters, environments, props, and visual effects in entertainment media, including films, video games, and animation. They work closely with creative teams to brainstorm ideas, sketch concepts, and refine visual aesthetics to meet the project's artistic vision and requirements.

Children's Book Illustrator: Children's book illustrators specialize in creating illustrations for children's books, capturing the imagination of young readers through engaging characters, vibrant scenes, and imaginative worlds. They collaborate with authors, editors, and publishers to bring stories to life visually, creating illustrations that complement and enhance the narrative while appealing to the target audience's age group and interests.

Art Director: Art directors oversee the visual style and artistic direction of creative projects, including advertising campaigns, publications, films, or multimedia productions. They collaborate with clients, designers, illustrators, and other creative professionals to conceptualize visual concepts, develop visual branding strategies, and ensure consistency and quality in visual execution across various media channels.

Freelance Illustrator/Entrepreneur: Freelance illustrators have the flexibility to work independently, taking on commissions, projects, or assignments from clients directly or through freelance platforms. They may also develop and sell their own illustrated products, such as prints, merchandise, or digital downloads, through online marketplaces, galleries, or personal websites, building their brand and business as creative entrepreneurs.

Art Educator/Teacher: Graduates with a BA (Hons) in Illustration may pursue careers in education, teaching illustration techniques, principles, and practices at primary, secondary, or tertiary levels. They may work in schools, colleges, universities, or community art programs, inspiring and mentoring aspiring artists and nurturing their creative talents and skills.
