Entry Requirements for Undergraduate programs

Academic Qualifications: International students applying for undergraduate programs at NAU are required to have a minimum academic achievement of 75% or above in their previous educational qualifications.

English Language Proficiency:

• IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.
• TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 70 or higher.
• DET (Duolingo English Test): Minimum score of 95.
• PTE: Overall PTE score required is 56.

Score reporting is required.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Studio Art from Northern Arizona University (NAU) offers a diverse range of career opportunities within the arts and creative industries. 

Professional Artist: Many graduates pursue careers as professional artists, creating and exhibiting their artwork in galleries, museums, art fairs, and other venues. They may work in various mediums such as painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, photography, or digital media.

Art Director: Art directors are responsible for overseeing the visual style and artistic elements of projects such as advertising campaigns, publications, films, and multimedia productions. B.F.A. graduates may work in advertising agencies, design firms, publishing houses, or film studios.

Graphic Designer: Graphic designers create visual concepts and designs for a wide range of projects, including advertisements, websites, logos, packaging, and branding materials. B.F.A. graduates with strong design skills may pursue careers in graphic design studios, marketing agencies, or in-house design departments.

Arts Administrator: Arts administrators manage the administrative and logistical aspects of arts organizations, such as galleries, museums, arts councils, or cultural institutions.
