Program Overview

The MRes Innovation and Enterprise is a research-focused master's degree program offered by the School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London. The program is designed for students who want to pursue doctoral studies or a research-focused career in academia or industry.The program covers a wide range of topics related to innovation and enterprise, including research methods, innovation management, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, intellectual property rights, and commercialization of research.

Students are required to complete a research project, supervised by a member of the faculty, and submit a dissertation at the end of the program. The program also includes a range of optional modules, allowing students to tailor their studies to their research interests.The program is delivered through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops, and individual supervision. Students are expected to conduct independent research and critical analysis of the literature, and to develop their writing and presentation skills.

The MRes Innovation and Enterprise is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to pursue research in the field of innovation and enterprise, or to pursue further study at the doctoral level.The program is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with the full-time option taking one year to complete and the part-time option taking two years.

Postgraduate Entry Requirements:

  • Applicants should have successfully completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution with a minimum overall score of 60% or equivalent.
  • English language proficiency is required, and applicants must provide evidence of their English language skills through an approved language test.
    • IELTS: A minimum overall score of 6.5 with no individual component below 6.0.
    • TOEFL: A minimum overall score of 92, with at least with at least 17 in Listening, 18 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing.
    • PTE Academic: A minimum overall score of 71 with 65 in Writing, and 59 in Reading, Listening and Speaking..
  • Some postgraduate programs may have specific subject prerequisites or additional requirements.

Students must provide:

  • letters of recommendation
  • a personal statement - SOP
  • passport
  • other supporting documents as required by the university.

Work experience: Some postgraduate courses may require relevant work experience in the field.
