  1. Special Educational Needs and Disabilities: The program covers a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, communication disorders, and physical disabilities. Students gain a deep understanding of the characteristics, assessment, and interventions related to different types of SEND.

They gain insights into national and international policies, such as the Education Act and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and their implications for inclusive education practices.

  4. Research and Evidence-Based Practice: The program equips students with research skills to critically evaluate educational interventions and practices. They learn to apply evidence-based approaches in addressing the needs of learners with SEND, ensuring that their teaching is informed by the latest research and best practices in the field.
