INTAKE: September

Program Overview

The BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering program at Kingston University is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the principles and practices of aerospace engineering. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills to prepare students for a career in the aerospace industry. Throughout the course, students will gain an understanding of the design, analysis, and operation of aerospace systems and vehicles.

The curriculum covers a wide range of topics related to aerospace engineering, including aerodynamics, aircraft structures, propulsion systems, flight mechanics, avionics, and aerospace materials. Students will also learn about computer-aided design (CAD), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and other engineering tools and software commonly used in the aerospace industry. The program emphasizes the application of engineering principles to real-world aerospace challenges and encourages students to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Practical experience is a key component of the course, and students have the opportunity to work on aerospace engineering projects and participate in hands-on laboratory sessions. These practical activities enable students to apply their knowledge to real-life situations, enhance their technical skills, and develop their understanding of aerospace engineering principles in a practical context.

Throughout the course, students receive guidance and support from experienced faculty members who have expertise in aerospace engineering. The university also maintains strong industry connections, providing students with opportunities to engage with industry professionals through guest lectures, site visits, and industry projects.
