For 2026 applications, the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) has revised the financial requirements for international students: Effective 11 November 2025

As of 2026, the UK Student Visa application fee is £524, payable online at the time of application.
Additionally, students must pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), which allows access to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

Transition to the New UK eVisa System

From 2026, the UK government will fully transition to a digital eVisa system for international students. This means:

Students will no longer receive physical vignette stickers or BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) cards.
Instead, visa details will be stored digitally and linked to the passport.
